The Tree That Won't Die

I have no idea what kind of tree this is, but it has gianormous leaves and the thing just won't die. I layed on my back to get this shot and what you don't see is that this tree is growing out of the stump of the same kind of tree we cut down years ago.. IT WILL NOT DIEEEE
